The Captain William Bull Tavern 1745, which is on the National Register of Historic Places houses 6 overnight guest rooms, some having fireplaces, wide plank chestnut floors, canopy beds in a Colonial motif.
Each of the three dining rooms has unique charm with dark wood paneling in the Tap Room accompanied by candlelight and a crackling fire while the Litchfield dining room is decorated with a wall mural depicting the town in the 1800's.
Upstairs the historic Ballroom can seat 40 diners or can accommodate a business meeting.
Other buildings on the site include the Historic Schoolhouse 1789 with 4 adjoining guest rooms that can accommodate an entire extended family. Also the newest building 1991, the Captain William Bull House, has 10 guest rooms decorated in a Country motif, with a large banquet facility on the ground floor 110 capacity for weddings, parties, and business functions. |
